Chronicles
I though it might be a fun idea to start recording what media I've
been consuming.
Have a look at what
games I'm playing or what music I am listening to.
Or just be disappointed at how much Taylor Swift I actually listen to...
Music
- Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess
- Chappell Roan - Good Luck, Babe!
- Halsey - Badlands
- Eminem - Houdini
- Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department
Books
- by Aeron Dusk⭐10/10Unlike MoA, there was quite a lot of post major conflict story (my favourite part of a story) which was my main criticism. The Varcross Key has really good pace with a great balance of relationship, drama and comedy. I was glued to the book, so drawn in that I was reading it midway though the day instead of only before bed. You are mostly in the PoV of the main protagonist but I would have liked more PoVs of other characters like Derrick, Toby and Vince. I though the ending was really well put together and is the best one hes written so far: great delivery and leaves room for a sequel (but not a cliff hanger). Can't wait to see what Aeron brews next!
- by Lech Blaine⭐7/10
- by Aeron DuskGreat story so far! Will update when series has finished.
- by Aeron Dusk⭐9/10I loved it! It's a good story novel with a good balance of romance, drama and comedy. Got really hooked on it and finished it within 2 weeks, can't remember the last time I read a book so fast. I wish there was more length after the main storyline, there was a large time skip but I think the author is looking to expand more around Amulii with a web novel. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short read and wanted to read some great werewolf drama.
- by Aeron Dusk⭐9/10I really liked this story. It had everything I needed to stay hooked: funny, entertaining, engaging (and a good level of smut). My favourite parts were the interactions between different characters and their POVs. The pacing was really good until the end, it seemed like everything was all mushed together. I ended up reading it all in like 3-4 days, looking forward to reading the other books/stories.
Games
- Pugstorm1.0 got released. Played it with a friend for a bit, but didn't finish. Summoner was really shit.
- ArenanetThey have definitely learn some lessons from the previous mini-expansion like giving weapons at the start. I am liking it so far but its way too early (1/4 complete). Having only one meta event was disappointing (literarily just kill at same time mechanic).
- Arenanet⭐6/10Combats really good this expansion (minus the job balance and identity), even the dungeons are great but it's the only thing holding the game together. The story is really mediocre in especially coming from Endwalker (crazy cat lady keeps self inserting herself, my favourite parts were without her). My friends and I have started to notice the gap in between content updates is quite lengthy, and hasn't changed between expansion releases. There is not much to do if not raiding savage/ultimate. I don't think I will play much this time round, already looking to unsub and demolish my house. Might not even play future expansions as life has gotten really busy and FFXIV isn't what I'm looking for currently. I will note, the graphics update was a worthwhile improvement!
- V RisingStunlock Studios⭐7/10A very fun ARPG, but I recommend you turn on the setting to turn the ability to teleport with items. Was pretty good but there was kind of an abnormally large grind of gathering materials which was tedious.
- Maplestory (Global)Nexon⭐6/10This seems more like nostalgia then good game. The boss fights are really fun and the combat is still really good. However it seems like a really long daily grind (not a bad thing but I don't have as much time these days). The major events are very FOMO, but at least the game isn't pay to win on Global MS Reboot server.
Media
- AGBO⭐10/10So good! I think the movie is probably the best piece of media I've watched this year. There were so many great things: actors, story and universe, directing, humor, etc. My parents didn't like it, the universe jumps might have been too hard for them to keep up but I though it was well articulated. Would strongly recommend to anyone. I believe it is now on Netflix, at least in Australia.
- Marc Platt Productions⭐8/10A really good sequel/branch off from the movie, The art style and animations were beautiful!. I more or less liked this storyline as it focused more on Ramona and the other characters. There were some great laughs through the series, very consistent. Would recommend to anyone that liked the first movie, runs at a slower pace though.
- Illumination⭐7/10OK it was actually pretty good. I'm not the target audience but hey I enjoyed it. A bit short but the plot was alright. I think Jack Black killed it as Bowser, he was hilarious. The blue Luma is my spirit animal.
- The ULULU Company (Matt Groening)⭐6/10Not a bad series but it doesn't live up to the hype from Futurama or old Simpsons. had me laugh a few times but the it doesn't really have much the depth to the story or characters. Wouldn't really recommend it other then something to watch in the background.
- Bo Burnham⭐8/10Great (dark) comedic film. Produced, directed, filmed and performed by one guy, Bo. I'm rather impressed with how he did it all. Favorite songs: Welcome to the Internet, How the World Works, Comedy

- Currentheyitsxen.devPerson website & blogAstro, TailwindCSSThats this website! Still a heavy work in progress. I'm really starting to like Astro as an alternative to static HTML builders.
